my father in-law has one. . now, its the type with the balloon tyre under the trailer, twin axle.

go for twin, takes the weight off the quad,

then make the axle wider than the trailer, . . .the quad is narrow so the trailer will be some what, but make axle wider. they had to do this for the bog. it would tip otherwise.

they also have it tipping, it tips using its own 12v battery. must be a screw like actuator.

red one below is the same looking trailer that he has,

i think u see what i mean about the trailer been high so by moving the wheels out will stable it.

Been down this road myself and believe me, if you put any value on your time at all, you wont make it cheaper than buying a professionally made one.

My late uncle had one made, very bouncy to tow. We were afraid that it would hop off the trailer. We sold it to a guy to carry his golf buggy.

We bought ramps for our iforwilliams tipper trailer & it drives up & down off it no problem, that trailer is worth its weight in gold - it's always on the go - the quad trailer had no other uses.

For using behind the quad he had a little trailer that you buy in the likes of halfords.

Is it for the quad (on) or for the quad ( behind)

try a and l castors in dublin they stock wheels n hubs the same as the trailer on donedeal, get 4 ply tyres or punctures will be plentiful
plenty of scope to save a few quid on 1700 its only a 6 by 4
    400 good wheels n hubs
    350 pump n ram genfitt,
    250 steel
    30 hitch
if u went solid at it would it take any longer than 3-4 days?

    Hi all

Have had it in mind a good while to go make a small trailer for towing behind the quad. Something Single Axle, just for carrying the few small bits for farm work. Came across these on Donedeal, 198Euro for an Axle, Hub and Tyre Kit.

Anyone have any thoughts on making up a Trailer? Worthwhile? Its something I might pick away at the bad wet days more than go straight into it. Anyone have any Plans or Drawings as to how they went about doing a Trailer? Something around the 5ft X 3ft size is what Im hoping to do.
