    Hi,

I put my back out in the gym about 6 weeks ago and I've being out since. I went for an MRI last week and i got the results back that I have a bulging disk in both my thoracic spine and neck.

Would I be better going to a physio or an osteopath with the problem?

Can I get a recommendation of one please in South Dublin?

    Thanks in advance!

Note: I'm not looking for medical advice thanks.

Hi. Sounds painful. Did you consider attending the sports clinic in santry? They are excellent and have it all on site.

Thanks. Santry is a bit far away for me unfortunately.

im not sure "santry is too far" response will do you good with such problem  When its that serious and it is your health that is at stake - you have to pick the best in the country. Im in Whitehall - that's rigth next to Santry but I go all the way to Meath for Osteopathic treatment (!) because it matters who I see.
I used to be big into sports (martial arts) now have to take it easy as my shoulder is recovering from a bike-car crash.

I hear a lot of people recommending this Santry clinic (I can't second that - never been there myself).

Simon Curtis in Kilmacud is excellent, I have used him myself whenever I have any back problems.

Not sure if osteopathy would be helpful for bulging disks, but I would ring Simon and ask his opinion if I were you.
