So I was just about decided to go and upgrade to a Razr I, but then upon some more googling, I came across a Razr M and Razr Maxx (I also see a Razr HD and Maxx HD, but both of these are 4.7inch screens, so too big for me as I want the phone to be compact).

Anyway, I'm even more confused now as going by this comparison with the 3: http://smartphones.techcrunch.com/compare/35-197-358-376/HTC-Desire-vs-Motorola-DROID-RAZR-MAXX-vs-Motorola-DROID-RAZR-M-vs-Motorola-RAZR-i

it says the Maxx is taller and wider than the I, but then looking at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYDym66NgeQ they look exactly the same?

I'm looking for the best quality phone in the smallest dimensions and although it will be mainly used for business, so battery life is important, I wouldn't like to compromise on other factors. I see in that comparison table it says the MAXX can't do HD playback but the other two don't have graphic accelerators?

I also see the maxx and m are dual core but 1.5/1.2ghz where as the I is 2ghz but only single core. The M also seems to have 28 more hours standby time but 1 hour less talk time than the MAXX.

The M seems to be pretty close to the I but has:

    android 4.1 instead of 4.0
additional display support while the I doesn't
panorama in camera while the I doesn't
No NFC while the I does
No USB interface while the I does
Bluetooth 4.0 versus the I which has 2.1 +EDR (Which is better?)

then the different CPU and processor cores.

So, which is actually the best phone out of the lot? I can't tell at all...

Thanks for the reply. Had a quick search there and it seems that phone may not be available until October for consumers. The s4 mini may be out by then too?

Unfortunately I don't think I can rely on my desire for much longer as a business phone. It's served me very well, but the battery has become a big issue lately.

Just very confused with all the different Razzr's.

Right. I was hoping the next nexus would be a motorola but haven't followed the situ much. Well Motorola pulled out of Ireland a few years ago and have only started resurfacing in the past couple of years. Don't know much about their recent models I'm afraid. Any company thats owned by google is a good thing though. Battery life and smartphones don't go hand in hand either. What are you currently getting out of it?

I think some of those Razrs are American only. Others are running conventional ARM processors, whilst the Razr i is running an Intel Atom processor.

I have the Razr i, and love it. 2 days of battery life, recently upgraded to 4.1, which gives it panorma. OTA download from Meteor...

I was thinking that maybe they are US only alright. The Razr M or Maxx doesn't seem to be available here at all?

that's good to know the I has panorama now, but what about the other things it is said to lack:

FM Receiver (never listen to radio on my phone so this probably won't be an issue for me)
Graphics Accelerator (don't play games and won't on my phone so hopefully not an issue, but i do use GPS)
Additional Display Support (not sure what this is?)
HDMI (is this to connect to tv? Wouldn't use I can't imagine)
microSDHC (I have micro SD so probably no need for SDHC?)

or are there other aspects I'm missing of the above exclusions?

Seems like the MAXX is actually available on pixmania, but even look at the list on pixmania, there's loads of different ones under the same name with different prices :confused:http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/search/razr#amount-low=0,amount-min=0,amount-high=498,amount-max=498/sortFilter=0_0/display-list/
