GPS/tracking systems

Hi - just wondering if any club teams use tracking systems or GPS devices during training/games to get distances travelled/speed/HR/energy output/etc.?

I see Tyrone, Donegal and Cork have started wearing them this season and most pro rugby sides are wearing them also.

I've made a few enquiries but they seem quite expensive for a club side.

We have a couple of adidas mi coach devices but only a few lads have the adidas boots that are required.

Anyone any experience with these? Or examples on how it can be done cost effectively?

I know you can get watches with HR monitors but this wouldn't be practical to wear during a game.

    Thanks.

Very expensive for a club side, especially if you want to have one for each player. You also need to someone to analyse the data correctly, GPS can produce a myriad of data.
