I have kept a balance in my paypal account for a year or so. I log on tonight and it wont accept my password but will accept my email PASSWORD. The account is showing ZERO balance.
Can anyone help shed some light?

From what i remember from reading somewhere is that paypal have a fee they charge monthly if your money is left in their account. if you have a card with them i dont think there is a charge. its in their T+C somewhere.

Thanks Jh but it also won't show me any history or anything? I checked on the balance reasonably recently and there were no charges taken off.

I could be wrong but i was looking into setting up my master card with my paypal but was put off the idea from reading somewhere on their site. i could totally be getting it mixed up with several sites i had been using the night i was browsing. This is what i could have been mixing it up with. In which case my advice is wrong to the OP i do apologize. and i am unable to help.

It's always free to send money to friends and family when you use your PayPal balance or bank account. Fees apply only if the sender uses a credit or debit card, or if you receive any payment for goods or services. There are also:
    • No monthly fees to maintain a PayPal account.
    • No setup fees.
    • No gateway fees.
    • No fees for multiple eBay and merchant tools
    .

    Above is from PP website
