This brings back memories! Back in the day, one summer myself and a mate used to go on the tour (it was free then) almost every day, and get chatting to the tourists to be sure that they accepted the two free half-pints even if they didn't want them. We usually got at least 3 pints each. The regular guide used to do a :rolleyes: when he saw us back again and again. We just gave him a big . We could have given the tour by the end of that summer.

I received the pack in the post today. Nothing much in it, apart from a brief guide to what is on offer, as seen on the website, and then your paper card.

If only it was a proper plastic card: myself and the lads thought that we could all flash our badges and use them to pull or get free pints.

Got mine today too, basic paper card. Might want to laminate it just in case it gets damaged. But for now I'm just keepin it in my work card holder and everyone at work asks me how i became an ambassador lol )
Guess it makes ya a lil bit of a vip if folks don't know the story.

Was thinking it would look a bit more official and plastic . Had Visions of myself getting as much free drink as possible and just as they go to kick me out, I pull out the card, flash it in their faces and say "Diplomatic immunity" just like in Lethal Weapon.

I'd imagine they'll mail us a new one. I think it said that one of the conditions of being an ambassador for life was that you had to opt-in to receiving promotions and stuff by mail.
