    Can anyone recommend a not very watery timber fence pain please. Any I've tried are very watery and run onto the concrete under the fence.

    Most paints now are water based but there are significant differences in the qualities (application and finish). If you are reluctant to use ground sheets, Cuprinol have the perfect solution for people like you: Cuprinol Ducksback, a non-drip paint for sheds and fences which is showerproof in < 1hr. Comes in 5L cans.;)
