Hi mother got vw fox 07 I think very low mileage , the warning light in dash is coming on and intermittently , and more frequently as time goes on. Some one suggested might be the cat. I hope not gets very little driving .. Advised to get it put on vw computer to see what fault shows... In meantime just wondered if any one…

A warning light is usually generic and could mean anything which is why getting it properly diagnosed will give an indication of what the problem may be.

Is the car behaving odd i.e. loosing power? It could be something like an oxygen sensor or the cat as suggested.

Thks a lot for reply. No power loss. It's just started with initial indicator that a fault was on exhaust / cat. As time went by , it became more frequent to the point it is now on just about continually
