Hi i'm from Dublin and heading to Derry on Good Friday. From there i'm looking to get to Falcarragh in Donegal on the saturday. Are there any buses that go from Derry to Falcarragh or any town near there?

    Thanks

You'll probably have to get from Derry to Letterkenny either by Lough Swilly or Bus Eireann. From there you can get from Letterkenny to Falcarragh by Feda's buses. That's the only way I know anyway.

beware the lough swilly from derry to lk...they're cheaper but there's a couple that take an hour and more for the journey going through the backend of nowhre

As Maldesu pointed out, you could get a Loughswilly bus to LK. On Saturdays they depart from the bus station at 11:00, 13:00, 17:00, 18:00. The journey time is 1hr 35mins:rolleyes:

From there you could get either Feda or John McGinley to Falcarragh.

Alternatively, Paddy Gallagher's Belfast bus comes through Derry at 7pm, which would be direct to Falcarragh.

there are more buses from derry to letterkenny but these should leave less waiting in letterkenny if you are in a hurry

oh and the feda/gallagher buses do not go from the bus station. you have to cross the road to the bus stop.

you should see mr chippy. format computers and some foreign food shop at the roundabout when you land. The bus stop is around there and you should see the bus shelter from there
