    Case = CiT Vantage Midi Mesh Gaming Case

    Motherboard = AsRock FM2A75 PRO4 Motherboard (Socket FM2)

    CPU = AMD A10 5800K Black Edition CPU (Socket FM2)

    GPU = Asus AMD Radeon HD 6670 Graphics Card

    PSU = Cooler Master RS650-ACAAE3-UK GX-Series 650W 80 Bronze Plus

    RAM = Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 16GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Four Module Kit

    HDD = WD Caviar Green 1TB SATA III 6GB/s Internal Hard Drive 3.5 inch

    Any DVD Drive will do.

    Why are you going for a crossfire with apu setup?
    How much does this setup cost, I might be able to spec something better for the same price.

    well it depends on what you are paying for it :pac:

    The 7660d on the APU is probably more powerful than the 6670 you specced - dont really see the point to be honest. That coupled with 16GB of ram, if you were running something intensive enough use more than 8 GB of ram you are likely to be bottlenecked elsewhere. If you fill out this the gys and here can offer you some decent advice

    ASRock 970DE3/U3S3, AM3+, ATX|€55.64
    HIS HD 7850 GDDR5 2048MB DVI/HDMI/2xMini DP|€162.74
    BitFenix Merc Beta|€32.77
    Super-Flower Amazon 80Plus 450W|€45.38
    Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB SATA 6GB's|€48.05
    Rechner - Zusammenbau|€5.00
    8GB-Kit G.Skill Ares PC3-12800U CL9-9-9-24|€55.64
    Shipping|€18.99

    This would be a better system. Its graphics capabilities for games would be much better. I didn't include a mouse and keyboard in the build because that site only sells german keyboards.

    I'd spend the extra €5 for the better sapphire cooler.

    http://www.hardwareversand.de/2048+MB/62369/Sapphire+Radeon+HD+7850%2C+2GB+GDDR5%2C+lite+retail.article

    Another €5 for the bitfenix outlaw since the alpha is out of stock. The beta lacks enough exhausts for all the intakes.

    If at all possible I would like to have the processer and the motherboard.

    Why? Fm2 is a dead socket. There's no upgrades for it. The fx-6300 is a better processor and the am3+ is their current main socket with future generations of processors still to come out for it.

    Do you have them bought already? They are more suited to a home theatre set up, with a bit of gaming at 720p as an after thought on the telly. The build posted above would be far better for gaming, and for 3d modelling, server and other uses you posted.

    Ok i'm going to scrap my idea and build a new computer. I would like to be able to buy it from a reliable source aswell. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

    Well you could start with the build I posted and swap in some of the parts Bloodbath recommended if you want. Is there anything else you might want to change?

    Is there any way someone could make this build €600

    Case = Zalman Z11 Plus Midi Tower

    Motherboard = Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

    CPU = AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Six Core

    GPU = Asus GeForce GTX 650 Ti Nvidia

    RAM = Corsair 8GB Vengeance Performance Memory Module

    PSU = Cooler Master RS650-ACAAE3-UK GX-Series 650W 80 Plus

    HDD = WD Caviar Green 1TB SATA III

    Where did you get that build from?
    It does not make much sense. You are spending too much on the motherboard and not enough on cpu and gpu

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,710 ✭✭✭Monotype

    How much is the 1045T? It's a good hexacore CPU, although you might find a better deal with something newer, e.g., FX6300* or FX8320. At a given clock speed, performance is a slight bit better on the older hexacores, despite the FX6300 being two generations newer, but it will reach much higher speeds.

    *The 6300 technically doesn't have six cores, but it performs closely enough to it.

    Here's a comparison of the 1055T to the FX6300.

    I agree with tuxy; scale back the motherboard in favour of other parts. Maybe a 970 chipset. Are there any features that you specifically want out of the motherboard?

    Also, the PSU - first of all, I'd skip over coolermaster's GX PSUs as they've had a dodgy history. Next, 650W is a lot unless you're putting in multiples graphics cards, in which case it would be a factor in the motherboard.

    Finally, don't use a green drive as your main drive.

    Edit: Only skimmed over the thread first. I think that tuxy's build would be a better starting point and you should rearrange from that the pieces that you like and don't like.

    I disagree with you BloodBath about FM2 being a dead socket.
    No currently available upgrade path does not imply no more CPUs. Of course, it wouldn't make sense for someone who's buying a graphics card straight off with the build.
