I have a few beds of roses and two of the roses appear to have a yellow-green lichen growing on them - it looks like a lichen to me , anyway.

Is it harmful to the roses? What causes it and do I need to get rid of it?

How do I get rid of it?, Thanks, in advance

Always had the view that Lichens are good sign of a clean environment .

But here is a link, maybe you can Identify the lichen

Are you sure its Lichen maybe some photos can help id the living creature/pest...

unless the "pest" has covered the entire plant I can't see a problem for the rose but maybe you have a environment issue.
