A man who allegedly fired several shots into a pickup truck after a road rage fight in North Carolina has turned himself in, along with his wife who handed him the gun.

Carteret County Sheriff's Department said 40-year-old Bradley Turner and 30-year-old Christy Turner were taken into custody by deputies near their home in Lenoir County.

The incident which was captured on a mobile phone happened at around 1pm on Sunday just off US 70 in Newport.

The two young men overpower Bradley Turner
The video was released by police who appealed for information about the attack.

Deputies say Bradley Turner followed the pickup driver home, then punched him after asking why he ran him off the road.

The young man and his passenger began hitting back at Turner, eventually throwing him to the ground.

At that point Christy Turner is seen giving him a pistol.

Christy Turner is filmed with the gun
Several shots were fired after the filming ended, according to police.

They hit the truck and a nearby home, but no one was wounded.

Bradley Turner is facing multiple charges including discharging a weapon into property and assault by pointing a gun.

Christy Turner has been charged with two counts of assault by pointing a gun.

When the fook are american's going to learn that their gun laws need to be changed? It's getting absolutely ridicoulous at this stage. Every Tom, Dick and Harry seems to have access to a gun of some sort over there and they seem to just carry them around like an accessory. Looking at the video the wife of the suspect is no worse than him as she can be clearly seen handing him the gun and instigating what he should do with it. I for one would hate to live in the states knowing that these kind of lunatics have access to guns over there would be very unnerving.

They are 2 people in a country of over 300 million.
There are plenty of people in Ireland with guns.
I think you might need to rethink your perspective on this incident.

I'm just glad he didn't harm anyone.

Obviously its scary that someone would react like that, but all too often there's a very bad outcome.

Jesus would you look at the big hard man thinking that he can just go up and start hitting someone cause they annoyed him on the road. Then cause they get the better of him he pulls a gun, idiot.

this is one of dozens of gun related incidents from the states you hear about every month or two. How many do you hear about in Ireland?

That's crazy shît over there. Insurance companies are making the car manufactures put cameras on the dash it's gotten so out of control.

It's more of a game than road rage but can't for the life of me remember what it's called.

I have no doubt that America has about the same (maybe even slightly more) dumbass idiots per capita as Ireland. But they also have more handguns than people.

I doubt we have enough handguns to give one to every person in Leitrim.

Agree completely which is a surprising stance for me on gun control. :D The actual issue here is the fact that you can get a concealed weapon permit in North Carolina. It's far too much of a Wild West situation to allow for a scenario where a person could pull a gone on you in a bout of rage over something like a car accident. The idea of a person carrying a gun at all times legally just makes me uncomfortable. :pac:

Taking the gun out of the picture, America has a big problem with road rage. That Rambo wannabe actually followed the other car home so he could attack the driver.

We've all wanted to do it on Irish roads, let's be honest.

Any one remember spudguns? Can you still get them? I'm talking early / mid eighties here. No smart quips about equipping the gardaí with them. Thanks for the thread OP. Hope I can get something out of it.

I'd like to have 2 machine guns behind flip down lights - that would be cool.
