Heading to listowel for weekend. Any decent clubs around. I see there is a 9 hole around. I really want the full 18.
    Cheers

You could try ringing ahead to Ballybunion!

Ten minutes drive from Listowel. No idea how much it would cost, that's if you could get a booking. Worth a try though if your a serious golfer.

Ballybunion cashen would be approx 50, could almost double that for the old course.Open comp on in castleisland saturday, course is only alright but its a full 18 and would only set ya back 20 quid. Decent value in my opinion.Half an hours drive from listowel.

Haven't played castleisland, but I've played the 2 courses in ballybunion and they are courses everyone should play at least once. Although Cashen is cheaper, it's also a super course and very tough. Given the weather at the moment, you might be able to get a good rate. There are plenty of posts about Ballybunion in the forum if you do a search.

I know you can't get green fees on Good Friday in Ballybunion anyway because of members comp. I'd say the weekend might be the same.
