    Hi all, I picked up a second hand racing bike last November and have been out on it quite a bit, i'm looking at getting into doing some races or some sportives but i've noticed that they pretty much all run at the weekend which I know is to cater for people who work Mon-Fri but as I work at the weekend I can't really attend any. I was just wondering if there are ever any midweek races or are they exclusively held at the weekend?

    There's the Mondello series for open races and I believe a planned series in june/July at Corkagh Park also many clubs have mid week club races - Lucan/St Tiernans/South Dublin/Usher is on a Thursday. Swords have one and so do Orwell plus I'm sure may others.

    All club racing takes place between Monday and Thursday (or at least is supposed to), but the club leagues do not kick off until April when there is adequate light for evening racing

    In addition there is track racing (Sundrive in Dublin) which takes place on Wednesday evenings through the summer - track accreditation is required to race
