    hi there,

I have been subbing for the past three years. I sent in my p60 for the past three years to see if I am due any tax back, does anyone know if I will get tax back or is it a no go!?

Depends on your own circumstances really and your tax credits. I sent mine off last month for 2012 and got my refund within three days. Wasn't a huge amount but better in my pocket than theirs!

Just be careful! I sent my p60 for last year and ended up owing them €56 :-(

I owe €900 because my USC wasn't calculated properly, gutted! It will be taken off my 2014 tax credit. Try to do a quick tot up with your own calculations first so you don't get a shock.

If you have log in details for revenue.ie just request a p21 balancing statement for each of the years.

For an initial check, you could try using my spreadsheet calculator (http://taxcalc.eu/monthlyss) to get an idea of how you stand. Caveat emptor- buyer beware: I don't guarantee that it's 100% accurate in all cases but it seems accurate based on my own tests.

It requires Excel 2007 or greater and you also need to enable macro code to run- Excel should prompt you about doing that. PM me if you need a hand using it.

Did you sign on during the summer? When I was subbing and signing on I ended up with tax bills at the end of the year as benefit was taxable income... Social welfare do not pass on the information until the end of the year to revenue. My tax credits were reduced for 4years as a result of monies owing!
