Does anyone know where in Dublin I can get a nexus 7 screen replaced? I have tried a few online places but only one can repair at a very high cost.

There's a reason for that. The Nexus 7 touch\glass upper layer and the screen below are fused. This is to cut costs at the manufacturing stage, at a guess.

So, it's all or nothing, to replace.
