Last week i got the jelly bean update for my Motorola razr i.
I installed Nova Launcher also on the same day and now it seems the amazing battery life of the razr i isnt quite the same, im still getting close to 2 days of medium use but seems 5-6 hours less than before.
Ofcourse i cant be 100% sure either but im just wondering would nova launcher or jelly bean increase battery consumption?

Try the gsam battery monitor and see how you get on.

Do you have "Google Now" running? That can hammer it.

I found Nova was a significant (>1% an hour) battery drainer on my SGS2 with Cyanogen 10.1.

Tried Nova, liked it but without any other change it apps, it was wasting away my battery much quicker than Apex was. Switched back to Apex and regained the lost battery.
