    Hi all,
really appreciate if you could help. I am having strange issue with my system. Bought and put it together last christmas.
    CPU:AMD FX 6300
    CPU COOLER: ZALMAN PS7X
    PSU: ANTEC BASIQ VP550P 550W
    MB: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
    GPU: MSI RADEON 6670
    HDD: 500GB SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200RPM

The problem is pc started to shut down itself while windows is starting. It doesnt come on even the power button pressed. However after few minutes it is coming on. This also happens in BIOS
I did overclock with using recommended feature of ASUS itself - performance few months ago. Then this problem started to occur first time.I tried restore defaults no good so I did bios upgrade. Then system was stable till yesterday and last week.
Yesterday again I restore the bios with using BIOS Flashback feature. Looks ok now.

Sounds to me like a CPU overheat. Ensure the CPU heatsink is tight against it, and ensure there is sufficient thermal paste to conduct the heat away. Had a similar problem with a PC I built a few years back, and it turns out I didn't use enough Thermal paste between the CPU and Heat sink.

But I applied thermal paste again when this started to happen, put a small dot rice size on center. And since then on gaming temp only goes up max 36C. Idle 21-25.

but I believe I applied thermal paste correctly. Because I was getting good values on temps. On gaming 37C idle 25-21
