Do they have first class on the line from Westport? Seems he was in the toilet for a while...very disrespectful of the young man to deprive the other passengers of the toilet for so long.

Who goes into the toilet on a train and doesn't lock the door?

More sensationalist crap to keep the ink magnates comfy.

Not of fan of the Quinns by any stretch, but a man is entitled to back out a load in peace.

Sources believe he could have been in there for weeks with the amount of sh7t he's been telling lately. Some have gone so far as to say they believe he is absolutely full of sh7t.

I'm amazed that people here seem to think that this is a non-story.

If this was Joe soap, maybe.

But this is a guy, who should be keeping the head down.

    Insurance levy? Thanks Quinn family.

The second bit happens on that train almost every bank holiday weekend :)

He wasn't arrested for locking himself into a toilet, he abused passengers whilst in a drunken state. He locked himself into the toliet later.

A non story but you wouldn't like it if it was a family member at the other end of an unprovoked drunken tirade whilst on a trip.

Its not a non story when you have half the population of the Border Counties in Ireland going on marches and campaigning on behalf of this family as if they are saints.

The Quinn family are responsible for billions of euros of bad debts that the Irish tax payers (that's us by the way) are being forced to pay back.

They're also doing everything in their power to pervert the course of justice by ignoring court orders to stop moving their assets beyond the reach of their creditors, when they're not going on the run from arrest warrents, they're acting drunk and abusive and resisting arrest on trains.

The character of these members of the Quinn Family is absolutely a valid news story.

So he went on a stag in Westport with his mates, got hammered and had fun, came back on the train and continued to get hammered... Got abused by a few of the other nice sober passengers, stood up for himself, and then all of a sudden he is the one abusing the nice people... So they were happy to dole it out but not take a little back... Oh how dare he.

After all was done he needed a good Guinness sh!te in the jax.. and the AGS were called.

Seems like a normal trip home on the train after a good night on the beer :D

How do you know it was unprovoked? If certain people here are anything to go by then I would presume Quinn himself may have been on the receiving end of abusive comments while on the train. Maybe its even a case that this was what caused him to abuse people?

Deserves it in alot of peoples eyes, if he doesnt want to be abused he shouldnt leave the border counties where hes for some bizarre reason worshipped like a god. Not sure exactly what id do if i saw him in public but abusive comments would be the least of his worries

He's not some rockstar who does this regularly. He has just been released from 3 month inside and is pissed on a train in the middle of the day with the media haunting him and half the country having a laugh at his family downfall.

I know I'll be the only one, but I feel bad for him. Still, a few €€€ hidden away may soften the blow.

    Genuinely lolling there!!

On a serious note - whilst this dude may well deserve a bit of grief, perhaps those skiving off paying their own taxes - Household/Property etc - should stfu until you do.

Either we're the solution pr we're problem.

    .

    Cleaners possibly?

Seriously though, are you ignoring the reason he locked himself in the toilets?

(because he refused to be removed from the train)

To be fair, that was my initial thinking when I heard this - he'd been getting abuse from other passengers and decided to defend himself.

But then why wouldn't he just make a statement to that effect?

Maybe somebody made a comment to him but in his drunken state he got paranoid and went off on one giving everyone dog's abuse.

I remember a few years ago when Quinn forced people at gunpoint to get huge mortgage's, build/buy huge houses they didnt need, make poor investment choices etc. Yes its all the Quinn family's fault that people "dont have a pot to piss in"

I remember exactly the same time when Sean Quinn was forced at gunpoint to take out massive loans and plough all his money into anglo shares.
