Subsidiary Benefits?

    Hi all,

Can anyone outline the benefits of setting up a subsidiary company instead of opening a new one.

The basic story is I have 2 company ideas, they are only in the idea and research stage at the moment. Both relate loosely to media but are to completely do different functions.

Is there any guide as to how to organise the companies? I dont really want to have both services under one company as they are quite different. Would setting up a holding company with two subsidiaries or two separate companies completely be better and why?

    Appreciate any advice.

You could have one LTD company and just use trading names for the smaller companies
