Paint constantly peeling off en-suite ceiling

I have a poorly ventilated en-suite, where the paint is constantly peeling off the plasterboard on the ceiling.
It's not an option right now to put an extractor fan in the en-suite, and I was wondering what's a decent bonding solution to apply before painting.
    Any recommendations please?
    Thanks.

Hmm... maybe give it a chance to dry out first, and then apply exterior paint? I presume if there is no extractor, there's at least a window?
Best advice to give is probably just to leave the window open for a good 30 minutes after every shower - could be as simple a solution as that.

Scrape all the loose stuff off, sand ceiling and give it 3 coats of Zinssers anti mould and mildew paint.

Leave the window open for half an hour after showering!

Do not apply bin primer on ur ceiling as it does not allow it to breath!!!
Zinsser has special paint for those problems it's called Perma White around 35euro for 2.5l

    Thanks.
I went into the paint store yesterday and picked up the Zinsser Perma White.
I've stripped all the previous paint from the ceiling and am ready to start painting.
I have a brush (good quality synthetic), and also have rollers - gloss sleeves & emulsion sleeves.
Any advice on which to use - I have the time and it's just under 3 square metres.

Many thanks again for all the helpful advice.

    Use the emulsion sleeve.

Another tip us to finish your ceiling. Then whatever permawhite you have left, take it back to the shop to re tint it to a colour for your walls.

For a ceiling that small I wouldn't bother using a roller. Cleaning the roller and wiping out the tray will take nearly as long as just brushing the whole ceiling. Plus less splatter.

bit of an off-the-wall solution but would sort your issue- if its your own place might be worth doing. i have pvc panelling on my bathroom ceiling, got it from a place called celuplast out by Baldoyle. handy to put up (like laminate floor) but you'd need a pal to help hold it for you. looks nice, cost me about 130 inc delivery. My receipt said 50% off but dunno what story was there. If you do go with it dont bother with their glue stuff, its muck, get reliable make instead. get a box of pins off them too for sticking the panels. And thoroughly inspect every panel for dings in surface and connectors - had bother with first delivery, few panels were unusable

    pic attached of the stuff

    Thanks everyone,
I gave it 2 coats using Zinsser Perma White with a brush.
You were right DublinDIYguy - for a small area, the brush was a much better idea and worked out well. Very happy with the results, and no painful cleaning afterwards :)
