    Howdy,

Just wondering if anybody has purchased any pre-cast concrete garden furniture (table + bench's) and what they thought of them as a product

    Thanks

My folks bought table & 2 bench set years ago as their house in Wexford is near beach & gets very windy. Apart from landscaper backing into it with ride-a-long & it takin 2/3 people to put the top back on its weathered nicely & you never have to worry about covering it.

where do you intend locating it? Looked at getting set myself but I have decking that would need reinforcing to take weight so I'm still looking for my perfect daybed (i.e., the 1 I've seen for €2000 in a sale for €500 😉 )

Just considering it as an option really as the climate here doesn't really suit the usual wooden/metal stuff people tend to buy if left exposed to the elements,

Looking for a long life product

Seen some stuff for €500 that looks the business so was just wondering, here is an example

Yeah my folks have same problem, its a coastal cliff exposure so anything else (metal/wood etc) was just going to rot/blow away.

They have theirs on paving stones without a problem & afaik only maintenence is hosing it down 1 or twice a year. In summer its lovely to just walk out & sit at without having to uncover it & rush to recover it in a shower!

Thats the same company I was looking at getting a set with, €50 delivery to Dublin (last year anyway). I just don't think my decking would take weight but if your putting it on paving stones yer laughing

Ordered it this morning, No27 on that site, it will be on decking which has recently had 4 x 1 tonne bags of soil on it so imagine it should be ok, decking is pretty strong

I must say I'm pretty surprised at how nice those look. I had images of horrible grey plain furniture when I viewed the first post. Definitely will give that a consideration when replacing the current wooden furniture on my patio in a couple of years.

According to the supplier, they come painted & sealed, all you have to do to keep them clean is wipe them down, no power hose and after 2/3 years re-apply a sealant, should last years years hopefully, they are pretty heavy also
