    Hi,

I am looking to import a 2 year old Ford S-Max high spec model from the Uk. Just wondering if anyone can recommend any good sites or dealers to use.

Also I saw an iirsih site www.ukdirect.ie seem to deal in bringing in UK cars and doing all the work involved with that, Wondering if anyine has dealt with them or heard of them?

Your best bet is to find a Ford dealer and deal with them direct IMO. Make arrangements to go over and test drive the car yourself.

Do all the necessary checks (HPI, AA/RAC). Then make arrangements to pick up the car and bring it over.

Alternatively, there is Car Giant who quite a few people use. Personally, I don't like them as the condition of the cars isn't the greatest IMO, and would prefer to deal direct. There is also a thread on how to import a car from the UK for reference, and another more recent one on Car Giant.

I haven't looked at the UK Direct site, but I think it's simple, you can either do all the leg work yourself, i.e find the car yourself and make all the travel arrangements or you can deal through this company who will obviously put a mark up on any car they bring in.

If you don't want the hassle and are willing to pay more then a company like the above would make sense I'd imagine.
