    Hello there,

Probably an overused question/thread but said id ask anyway. Looking to pick up a filter coffee machine new/second hand. Have about €200ish to spend. Any ideas on this? I hear Gaggia are the best?

Thanks in advance for any help :D

Buy a grinder and a French press. It's my favourite brew method and for €200 you'll be well sorted.

For 200 you could buy a nice hand burr grinder (e.g. this one), an aeropress, a french press, a moka pot, plenty of freshly roasted coffee and still have a bit left over!

    OP,

I managed to pick this up from Coffee Angel prior to Christmas:

    http://coffeeangel.com/product/luxury-grind-brew-gift-set/

It's out of stock now, but drop Karl an email and he'll be able to tell you if he's getting any more in.

I've settled on filter as my brew of choice, and can't recommend the Melitta highly enough.

    Conor.
