Can somebody give me advice(in lay mans language please) recently UPC upgraded my wireless router. I was quickly able to reset all my wifi appliances all working fine except my laptop. It refuses to connect to the Internet. I have tried everything. I told the UPC guy and after all of 60 seconds he had it up and running said a setting was on manual not automatic. Worked fine for a week then bang for no reason same thing. I've had a quick look for these settings but can't find. Can anyone help?
Also why would it change settings by itself?.

very hard to say from just the information you provided.

is it connecting with limited connectivity or something>?

id say you have ip settings wrong and set manually based on his comments...strange they would adjust themselves...

    if im right go here:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/change-tcp-ip-settings

follow instructions and make sure those two things are set to automatic.
