Free 3DSXL games query.

I know Nintendo had a Uk/Ireland offer where you could register your machine before Jan and receive 1 of 5 games.

Nintendo USA have announced they will be giving 1 of 5 games if you register a new machine and Luigis mansion.

Is there any news in whether this is a UK/ Ireland deal too

Might get a 3ds xl but thinking of second hand but if this offer is in UK I might buy new.

Don't think so. I looked at the news section on nintendo.co.uk and the first free game offer (up to Jan 15th) is there, but nothing about any offers after that.

Open to correction though.....

I bought a used 3dsxl. Immaculate condition. Actually had Mario 3ds on the system.

2 questions people!

1) can I system transfer my ambassador stuff to this mewly bought used system without wiping what's on it?
2) if I ever get another 3dsxl in future, can I transfer all the ambassador stuff again?

1. No. The transfer process will wipe the source machine cleaner than a baby's arse.

2. I believe so, yes. But it can only exist on one 3DS. The source machine will always be wiped.

1. Thanks. I'm not worried about the original one being wiped. In worried about the new one being overwritten so that I lose Mario 3ds.

The transfer process transfers games one for one. It takes each individual game from the old one, and transfers it to the new one.

Any existing games on the new 3DS shouldn't be affected.

Rang Nintendo yesterday and they said that I would lose whatever is on the newer machine too! So basically the old stuff gets transfers to the newer machine but the newer machine is copied over. The only exception is if the games were preinstalled on the newer machine.

I'm not pushed as I finished Mario3DS anyways! And it is a Pikachu edition so that beats everything else lol.

I transferred from my 3DS to 3DSXL, but did it before installing anything on the XL first.

I transferred my ambassador profile onto a Monster Hunter Black console two days ago, the Monster Hunter game was available to redownload in my download list along with all my NES and GBA games so yes you will still retain any games on the console, I believe only dsi ware and or save files can not be transferred.

Out of interest, did it transfer over your MiiPlaza data, retain the existing MiiPlaza data, create a fresh MiiPlaza start or merge the data?

yes Nintendo said it's fine with Monster Hunter bcuase it's preinstalled.

It transferred them with my quest still at the same point it was three consoles ago. I also retained all my puzzle pieces.

So I'm aiming to buy a 3ds xl, but have bought a few dsi ware games. Will I lose them? Shantae was a tenner and not sure if I'd rebuy it...

Seems my info on DSi games was wrong, I don't remember what site I got it from, below is a link to Nintendos info on transfers, select the 3DS option for instructions on what to do.

Does it also transfer over the eShop games? I have a few bought and I'm looking to upgrade to the MH3U 3DSXL.

My previous purchases were available to redownload again, I bought Pokemon Radar 4 consoles ago and have since redownloaded it and used it on my Monster Hunter console, Monster Hunter hasn't had a lookin yet.

Oh right, sorry. Didnt see anything region specific about the offer. I already had the better games anyway so i dint try for myself.
