Nissan Navara - Crew Cab - UK Import - Tax Question

Hi, im sorry is this has been directly talked about before (i have looked for threads but dint find one that actually directly addressed this issue)...

I am looking at buying a 2010 Nissan Navara from the UK and bringing it in and paying the VRT registering to our vat registered company.

I have seen on some of the local county council websites that you need a minimum of 3 employees and their pps numbers to have a company be eligible to own a Commercial Crew Cab - is this true, as it seems that only some of the councils enforce this (as per other threads).

It has been suggested to register the crew cab a month before the due date of the tax is due for renewal but because i will be registering it from scratch (import from UK) this wont be possible.

We currently dont have 3 employees but would really find a crew cab very helpful to our business.

I intend to register this vehicle in either Dublin or Dun Laoghaire County Councils.

Can anyone offer advise on this?

    Thanks in advance...
