    Hi there,

Planning on doing a relay leg of the Cork city marathon on June Bank Holiday Weekend - 10 weeks from now. I'm not a great runner, but could probably pull off 2 miles now at a slow pace. I am not interested in pace, just want to finish and hopefully stay running for the full thing.

I am planning on doing 2 Kettlebell classes as well, 3 runs, and 2 rest days - not sure of whether this is ok or not??? Any advice/programmes/tips welcome.

    Thanks.

Couch to 5k then Bridge to 10k programme! If you have a smartphone get the apps! It will (most likely) take longer then 9 weeks though! If you're not fit & you want to get to 10k as quick as possible Kettlebell classes/weights anything non running specific (Bar prehab, rehab etc.) will only just run you down making it harder for you to recover!

Thanks so much for the advice. Yeah, I just looked at C25K and I'd be confident at being able to start at week 5 of that, and then continue on to the 10k plan...I really don't need to finish it in any amazing time, just finish it!
    Thanks again
