couple months back had ordered ocz razr ssd or something like that, green sticker on it.but to my disappointment couple weeks after using it,started to experience freezes ,pc wont boot, and eventually it gave up and wasn't even recognized as a drive, stopped responding and windows wouldn't even install on it  so got disappointed and sent it back for refund.
Also recently read some experiment where they choose 16 different type ssd drives, and were doing tests where they would continuously switch them of by unplugging off power, or power surges and most of them failed after only 30-40 power out cuts, other half failed after nearly 160 these situations and most of them eventually became corrupted or completely failed to operate, only two of the drives made it through all the tests.
and as much fun i had when i put it into my pc,the speeds were incredible, loading times took only seconds, its sorta like have a turbo on pc as everything becomes so faster. But my concern is that in the house when theres many appliances connected i get power surges that affect my speakers and no doubt other pc components, and ssd being so fragile to power surges,i want to purchase one again, but is there any that can withstand these issues,as i dont have money to spare for UPS as my psu is over 600w and for such capacity UPS are beyond my limits price vise.

That kind of destructive testing isnt really representative of the real world.

If you have a decent PSU it should protect your components from surges for the most part. When you say power surges effect your speakers, thats far more likely to be ground noise or other EMI not surges. You are unlikely to have more than two power outages in a year now really so I wouldnt concern myself with that too much.

Get a samsung 830 or 840Pro(not 840) and be happy out.

dont know that it is with electricity but its not first house where lets say iron is in another room,or even downstairs and yet every time steam button is pressed on it ,id get cracking sounds from speakers  i Have belkin cord/power strip with 6 outlets and it has some sort of protection for couple seconds if electricity is gone but it still doesn't prevent noise coming from speakers :/ .As for testing i think tests weren't harsh, having in mind that all ssd are made out of memory which can be really sensitive, after my first ssd did some research and most reviews were very negative on most brands, due to ssd controllers.but will look into Samsung ones you mentioned.thx

I'm assuming you mean " why 840 pro and not 840". The 840 isnt to the same high standard as the other two so the 840Pro is the real evolution of the 830(a cracking SSD).

I think electricians install surge protectors as part of the wiring these days?

I think you're mixing up the improvements in breakers(RCDs) with surge protectors.
