I Basically put a post up before stating that i was building a pc in may but im building one now ... As some money came my way

Budget is 400
I dont need keyboard mouse monitor or operating system
It needs to be capable of running league of legends .... Not on an amazing level just playable

Doesn't take much to run that. The hd4000 integrated graphics will run league of legends at 1080p on low-mediumish settings @ 60fps so no need for a graphics card. At least it did on mine while I was waiting for my graphics card.

Now I know the psu is overkill as this system will use maybe 120-150w tops but it will allow you to upgrade the machine in future. The motherboard will support all the latest quad core cpus and graphics cards so you can add one whenever you want and you will have enough power for them.

Just 2 suggestions I am making if you value the small savings made vs almost no performance loss (and slightly less storage space).

The PSU investment is definitely worth it.

Actually a very solid gaming PC. 7770 is slightly underated. Will play most new games very close to max settings or at max settings at 35FP. Only thing you will need to worry about the line is updating the graphics card. Very good processor

Maybe drop the processor to an 955 and upgrade graphics card if anyone has an opinion? I'd definitly go AMD over an i3, well the one I have in the build anyway. With rumours of the PS3 with 8 cores games will be designed with a lot more than 2 cores in mind

There's no doubt the 6300 is the better gaming processor but that mainboard is crap. Unless you want to increase your budget to €450 to get a decent one. Alternatively an athlon or phenom x4 build with a 7770 will give you better short term performance in budget with less upgrade options.

Just to confuse matters more. This build would give better performance and has good upgrade options as well. He would be able to run lol at high settings with 60 fps. No dvd drive and a little over budget but you can add that stuff later. Does he need a wireless card? Alternatively if you are willing to pay the extra go with joetoads build above and change the motherboard to the one here.
