In Dublin next week - what Cycling Shops are walking distance of 'City Centre'

Hi all

Am in Dublin next week and will have time to kill while I await the late train home. Just wondering of anyone has a list of Cycling Shops around O'Connell Street to Stephens Green (not planning on taking buses out to suburbs/ business parks... don't want to get caught for time !)

Fancy a look around and am looking for a GOOD lock. And who knows what other bargain I might pick up !!

From that map - Cyclelogical is gone.

Cycleways on Parnell St (http://www.cycleways.com/store/) and Cyclebike off Capel St (http://buildabike.ie/) are the only two I'd rate in the area. EuroCycles on South William St as well, but I've never been in there.

Penny Farthing on Camden St. is about 15 minutes walk from Stephen's Green.

I should point out that Penny Farthing are doing a 50% off promotion on Kryptonite NY locks.

I concur, those two are the ones I go to when I need something in the city centre. I also note that Great Outdoors is on the map and while it is in fact great it is also very much on outdoor shop and not really a bike shop. It has a small selection of cycling stuff, mostly clothing and GPS, no actual bikes.

As RollingScone said Penny Farthing is also good and not that much further out.

Actually read the OP as wanting a "good look". Not sure if it's still there, but if you're heading out to Penny Farthing, McDonald's Cycles (?) is on the same side and a bit closer to town.

penny farthing as already mentioned is one of the better cycle shops in the city.there is a motorcycle shop on blessington st that also stocks cycling accessories.2minutes walking time from o connell st.

Thanks All.... yes its a good LOCK i am after. Seen an earlier post that said Penny Farthing had a sale on locks and hence the interest in seeing the selection.

Good map above and will be handy as I can log in on my phone and get the directions.
