    Helloo!

My sister's boyfriend is looking to buy a car seat for his daughter

Are there any other rules they need to comply with? Weight and age appropriate so far but they want to be sure before buying :D

    Thanks!

This is probably the best guide. Most good shop's should know by the weight and age of the child what's the best seat.

Make sure you get possible seats fitted to your car to make sure they fit. Even if it uses isofix make sure the seatbelt fits.

We got the BeSafe IZI X3. Its Extended rear facing so can do from baby to 4 years old.
Its isofix when rear facing and can be turned forward and be restrained using a belt.
We had our son rear facing till he was 2 1/2 and is forward facing now.
The longer they are kept rear facing the safer for the child. It protects against whiplash.
