Basiclly I want to by a new ford mustang shelby gt500, and seeing as this is ireland it must be right hand drive,I also want it customized.can this be done in ireland, if I got it done in american would it be left hand drive or could I just have it built left hand drive, anyone own a mustang whats the tax and insurance…

Firstly driving a LHD is part of what it is IMO and is not that difficult in Ireland once you have a zapper for tolls. Customised in what way? Any upgrades you want can be done in the US pre-shipping at a fraction of what you would pay here. I think they built RHD models for Aus. Insurance will depend on age, experience and NCB. Motor tax on a new import will be €2350 p.a. to tax

68k Sterling + VRT (it's not listed on the VRT online so I'd imagine you'd be in for an unholy hiding on that front). Tax I presume would be the highest bracket on CO2 (€2350 p/a). running costs...probably steep.
