anyone having trouble with Play store?

    Hi all,

    Just wondering is anybody else having trouble with play store at the moment? no apps downloading or updating for me on my phone, or other android devices in the house belonging to others.

    thought it was my phone so did a factory reset. still no apps downloading, and now i'm left with no apps on my phone either :confused:

    everything else working fine. internet browsing etc is all ok.

    my first thought is it was something to do with my internet connection, but nothing has changed with it so i'm not sure. haven't gotten to try it on another internet connection just yet unfortunately.

    Any ideas anybody?

    update: seems to work over 3g, albeit very slowly cos of my dodgy reception! anyone any ideas why it wouldn't be working on my wi-fi?

    Just tried my wifes andriod phone and my nexus 7, exact same issue.

    i have no problem opening the play store, or browsing the apps on it, but just can't install any of them. Doesn't give me an error, just never downloads!!

    Is this the same for you? And is yours working ok over 3G?

    very interesting...exact same here on at least 4 Android devices. Can I ask what ISP are you with?

    Yep same for me, im using wifi but tried 3G on my phone and same thing.

    Im with sky, i was gonna ask you the same thing.

    UTV here...had been thinking maybe it was an issue with their DNS or something, but not likely if we are on different ISPs. Very strange :confused:

    Same as me yesterday. Installed a system upgrade and it worked again. Using a sony tablet with eircom.

    looks like it may be a bigger issue then i thought so! strange there is no mention of it anywhere on google though. maybe it'll sort itself out by tomorrow!

    i am unable to update at the moment, goes to start the download and just sits there doing nothing

    connected via wifi using sky broadband

    turned wifi off and its working on the fones internet connection

    only have edge so painfully slow

    hmm why is wifi causing an issue

    well I'm on UTV, and having the same problem, so not necessarily Sky. Think others in the thread are having the same problem on other random ISPs as well. :confused:

    I can download off mobile data, but not off my wifi, very strange, we did recently change to pure from eircom but we still use the same router

    Having the same issue and with Sky Broadband.
    Also, the youtube app doesnt work on any of my android devices

    Android + Play Store + YouTube - has good written all over it.

    Just out of interest, has anybody contacted Sky or their ISP about this ?

    Still not working for me. Just got this phone yesterday. It came SIM free and I have a 3 SIM in it and all I seem to get is connection error messages when I try to connect to Google play. I have reception to browse the net on this device so I don't understand it at all.
