Here it is on ebay, it's still not wroth getting http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Dual-core-mini-Android-4-1TV-Box-MK808-mini-pc-Air-Fly-Mouse-RC12-NEW-ARRIVE-/140936949212?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Internet_TV_Media_Streamers&hash=item20d07f2ddc#ht_4938wt_901

Google tv is worth getting but buy a decent box that will do eveything you want...

That is not a Google Tv box. That is an Android box for your tv. Subtle difference.

I have a Logitech Revue Google TV box and while the satellite integration isn't working in Ireland it is a great box. If you can get one of them cheap I would recommend it.

As for the Android box for your tv, i havent tried one out but assuming you install a good media player on it you should be able to watch almost anything.

    Hey,

Just ordered the MK808 from eBay, it's €38 delivered! I'll post back when it arrives, gets good reviews on YouTube, cant go wrong for that price...

I was hoping to get the Archos TV Connect but no sign of a release date and it's €100 more. I had the Logitech Revue before and it's good, but having full Android with all apps etc will be way better. It's suprising how handy it is to have a browser and YouTube on your TV.

    Cheers,
    Al.

Looking at that Logitech on Amazon, what limitations does it have over one of these Android sticks? I'm guessing it doesn't actually run Android but a Google TV specific OS and has a much more limited set of apps available?

It is Android, just the tv version of it. But yes the apps are limited to be honest.

That said, the Revue comes with a full sized keyboard and for browsing the net, watching youtube it is great. Also, you pipe your Sky + box (in my case) through it so is always there waiting to be activated. So your watching something on telly, grab the keyboard, start typing and hit enter and your searching the web. you can also browse with the TV in picture in picture...

I use it daily for watching download content and youtube.

Can you stream using the Revue? Or use Sky Go, Netflix etc?

Streaming across the network works, Sky Go doesn't, Netflix does.

Does Sky Go work on the Android TV "sticks"?

I doubt it, I think it is limited to a small number of devices.

Don't think so, as the Android version on these devices are too old?
Worth €200? WTF? I'm getting a similar air keyboard from dx.com for under €18 and getting a better Android device for €47 Oh, and isn't the wireless meant to suck badly on that version of device?

    =-=

Lads, have a read through http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=83702767 for info on which ones are good, and which ones are bad. I'm getting the Neo G4 from dx.com myself.
