Hello, if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. I'm doing an internship at the moment, was hired on a 6 month internship working with people with disabilities. This will be up in 7 weeks, my boss told me on Monday he wants to extend it to the 9 months n then go full time. I've been mulling it over, I'm not happy about the idea, its not what i signed up for, does anyone have any advice or been in this situation or know what the interns rights are here? thanks

If the work is not what you expected or suitable for you then don't agree to extend it and just finish your 6month contract. Explain this to your boss.

Ah but will he extend it by 3 months and then say

"no sorry - can't afford to pay you"

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
