    Problem with 40 amp relay.

Can anyone offer assistance or what should we do next.

Car will drive but electrical issues, no horn, no lights, no blower, no wipers.

If I put an old volvo 30 amp relay in the other electrics will work and parking lights work, if I turn main lights on everything stops.

have limited knowledge of fuses and relays, but the reason why 30amp blows is that it cant support higher voltage and it snaps as lights require much more energy, instead of putting in 30 why not try 50 or 60amp and see will it hold, just not sure is it safe  .As there can be many reason and hard to trace,It might be some worn, damaged, touching wires somewhere along the way.

Did it start happening like that out of nowhere or did you do any electrical work on the car,new radio, light bulbs etc ?
