Yeah sounds like a job for chain harrow or discs I'd say. If its too shallow for the plough it'll be wasting time.

Too cold to sow but drive on with field work while dry

Have you sprayed off. If not I would spray off first.

I am waiting for chance, too much wind, surrounded by the last bit of grass we have for the cows. Too bloody hard to grow without killing with roundup!!!

I would wait until I could spray off no pint in doing a nice reseed and have old grass and weeds establish in the new sward. If ploughing I might chance it but if power harrowing the old grass will re-establish before new reseed.

Have an army of pigeons grazing my newly reseeded ground.

    What do pigeons eat???

Are they eating my (damned expensive) grass seed??

dont worry silkcut, you can eat the pigeons in the next few days. when they eat too much seed it kills them, something to do with the saliva or lack of it (not sure) and the gut swelling from what i hear.
