Wedding party with kids?

I am looking for a venue where we can have a small wedding reception in Dublin, not the traditional kind - more of a party.

But we have a 2yr old and we would like her to be there but she will have to go to bed early enough and I don't want to ask one of the family to take her home or to a hotel room cos they would be missing out on the party and it wouldnt be fair. Ideally we would like the party in a penthouse suite where we could put her to bed in the bedroom and be close by. Obviously no-one would be going mad drinking and we wouldnt be having banging music, more of a laid back party. The other option is to be in a hotel and have a babysitter take her to bed and stay with her but she isnt used to having someone she doesnt know mind her and we wouldnt be able to enjoy our night if she is freaking out. See my dilemma?

I have looked at the penthouse in The Morgan Hotel and that looks like a good option, as they have a terrace too so we could have dancing + food out there if people wanted. And the penthouse is rented out as a party venue.

My plan is to go somewhere for a meal first then go back to the hotel for the evening party.

What have other people with kids done in the past on the wedding evening/night?
Or can anyone suggest a suitable venue for the party?
Rent a house for a party? Exclusive use of a country house? (The cheaper the better!)

have it anywhere you want. have a buggy with a pillow and blanket in the corner, it'll be a long day, once those eyes start drooping go for a 20 minute walk later in the evening to get her asleep. that way you and one of many others can keep an eye on her in the room.

this is what most people do if they want their young kids there.
