Spinning instructors course

Lads, does anyone know anything about becoming a spinning instructor? Do you need the NCEF or equivalent, to get started? I've been working in a leisure club for the last 11 years, and would love to start something like this. I'm more pool qualified though, with Diploma in Recreation and Leisure and also a qualified Massage Therapist.
Anyone with any info, please advise.
    Thanks

Do you actually need to do a course to become an instructor? Does the leisure club gym you work in give spin classes? If so could you ask the current instructors how they trained?

If not are you hoping to work for a gym that does give classes could you approach them and ask them?

I am saying this as a regular spin class victim for the last 10 years since it got popular and the impression i got from instructors was they picked it up as they went along, but I could be wrong

    have you looked at spinning.com?

You need to have a fitness qualification like you said, NCEF, NCHES, Itec or the like. Once you have this qualification you can take a 'workshop' which is basically a weekend course to get accredited for spinning or most classes but like I said you need the gym based qualification first
