    Hey all.

I am flying from Dublin to the UK tomorrow morning at 10:30 with aerlingus. I have booked a train ticket to Heuston on the earliest train arriving at 8:05.. I will have checked in online and only have carry on...

Do ye think I will make it by taking the 747 from the station?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, no problem. If it looks like you'll be waiting a while on the 747 you could try and get a Luas down to the point village and try and pick up a 747 there, you may well beat the bus as it meanders a little before getting to the quays after busaras.

You could check this bus stop's real time information or download the dublin bus app
    http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/RTPI/Sources-of-Real-Time-Information/?searchtype=view&searchquery=2507

I got from the quays outside Jurys Inn to Terminal 1 in 25 minutes at rush hour on a Thursday evening a few weeks ago. You would need to add 20 minutes to that.

Do that anyway tbh - during rush hour the 747 is very slow to get through the city centre and getting the Luas down to the O2 will save you a lot of time.

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but this is what came up in a google search. I'm getting into Heuston in about an hour. Anyone know if there is a
direct bus to the airport. I saw a link for the Aircoach 747 thing but that seems to go through town and stop everywhere. Sod that, I just want to get to thr airport in a hurry.

The 747 goes every 15 minutes, last time I have used it it took one hour to the airport from Heuston. Going to town first and take another bus does not get you to the airport faster. So if an hour plus possibly 15 minutes wait is too long, you'll need to get a taxi.

If you arrive at Heuston you exit at the main entrance straight on from the platforms and the 747 leaves a bit to the left. If you have to take a taxi you exit the station to the right.

Haithabu is right, if you are in that much of a hurry to the airport then get a taxi. A good taxi driver will have you halfway to the airport before the bus is even ready to leave town. Worth the extra cost.
