The 59-year-old answered bail on Wednesday after he was held in January by detectives working on Operation Yewtree, the national investigation prompted by the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said a 59-year-old man had been "further arrested on suspicion of sexual offences in connection with further allegations made to Operation Yewtree".

At the time of his first arrest in January, Davidson's solicitor Henri Brandman issued a statement to say he "vigorously denied" the allegations.

The former Generation Game and Big Break host was arrested on January 2 in west London, along with a 53-year-old who was held in Hampshire. They both answered bail on Wednesday and have again been released on bail until May.

In January, Mr Brandman issued a statement to say: "Two women have made allegations in respect of Jim that date back approximately 25 years. The complainants were then in their mid 20s. Jim vigorously denies the allegations. He answered police questions as fully as he was able after this passage of time."

So far, 11 people have been arrested under Operation Yewtree.

is their smoke without fire ??

the whole saville saga investigation has gone very quiet .

A touch OT, but here's John Virgo re-enacting the famous Sgt Elias death scene from Platoon with Jim Davidson looking on disapprovingly

Who knows if he did or didn't until a court case can prove something.
He's quite funny in that clip though.

I would get your sense of humour serviced if I were you, it needs recalibrating.
Test it on Mrs Brown afterwards to be sure.

    Is there a difference?

Well MBB's doesn't go out of its way to offend people (unless you're offended by by cussin') and RCB does.

I tend to interpret comedians who say "I'm not politically correct" as "I'm a bit of cnut who's out for cheap laughs."

Oh how Afro-Caribbeans must have laughed at the Chalky White impressions.

One thing slightly confuses me is that I thought Operation Yewtree's remit was to catch pedophiles, whereas there appears to be arrests made for over-age sexual assault. I suppose if you're following one line of investigation and it uncovers related crime, arrests should follow.

Davidson (or his lawyer) claims the women in question were in their twenties when the incidents happened. Either he's lying and they were underage or there are sexual assault or rape charges involving adults pending. This wouldn't be such a stretch to believe about Davidson as I seem to remember that he has convictions for domestic violence already.

Wouldn't it be great if it was 3 coppers who collared him. An Irish one, a Black one and a Jewish one.

P.S Under the trade descriptions act, this moron could never be described as a comedian.

Ah would ye stop! He was useless!

Probably did the best Irish accent of any English person who I've ever heard tried to pull it off (which is most of them 2 minutes after meeting me).

Normally I think people who make up allegations of rape or sexual abuse are truly vile.

But I would laugh if the accuser is just ****ing with Jim Davidson to keep him off the telly.

I'll let the courts decide if he's an abuser of any kind, but he does seem to be a hate-filled little man.

I've just YouTubed some of his 'comedy'. It's not.

He is a vile, angry and hate-filled little man. He is not funny and I am find him offensive in every way possible.

However, I have no idea if he's an abuser- the law will have to figure that one out.
