3 Phase Querie

    Hi
I have planning permission on a site in Clonee Co. Meath for a domestic House.
    I have a few queries.

I will be installing a heat pump. I have been told by the supplier that the heat pump only requires a single phase connection, (16kva maximum) there is an option to get a 3 phase heat pump.
I will also be requiring a time of day tariff.

There is currently a 3 phase power line running through the site.
I was wondering if it is any benefit to connect directly to this?
Are the electrical rates similar, or would connecting to the 3 phase be more expensive or require additional step down equipment? Or would it just be simpler to connect to the single phase network?

I am also considering Photo Voltaics, that will feed back excess electricity into the grid. Can this be done to the 3 phase grid?

So a few questions there, as you can imagine I am a little lost by it all.

    Colm

    Hi Colm,

Is Electric Ireland your supplier or are you connected yet?

    Regards,
