I'd say he didnt fob him off at all. Its win win for everyone involved. Obama's approval ratings went up when he was here, Enda Kenny's approval went up when Obama was here. Why would you turn it down?

Obama isn't facing into any more elections, so the ratings boost from being seen to down a pint of Guinness isn't of much value to him any more....

I's day they're not finished yet - I'd say the next thing is that they will find out that he is actually not Brazilian at all, that he is actually from some godforsaken back of beyond village in Cavan or somewhere. :D

He'll be back but not until after his current term I reckon. The first visit was very well timed so that he could gain some voter confidence and more so, investors for the campaign that lied ahead.
