Obama MIGHT come back to Ireland

Enda Kenny on his visit to the White House "There is a standing invitation for the president, the first lady and their family to visit whenever it is appropriate and convenient. I can say to you that he has reaffirmed his intention to come back to Ireland"

What excuses did Obama use to fob of Inda Kinny?

"Enda, i'll see, i'll see. Busy at the moment. Israel, budgets, NBA playoffs coming up....i'll let ya know"

he said he would come back but it wouldn't be anytime soon. :D:D:D:D lets stop sending out these flipping invites to every tom dick and francis - we're broke - we can't afford it.

Its like the unpopular child at school begging the cool ones to come and play. It's embarrassing.

I'd say he didnt fob him off at all. Its win win for everyone involved. Obama's approval ratings went up when he was here, Enda Kenny's approval went up when Obama was here. Why would you turn it down?

Obama isn't facing into any more elections, so the ratings boost from being seen to down a pint of Guinness isn't of much value to him any more....

Because Inda will probably spend to whole time bugging him to do something about the "undocumented"....who are definitely not illegal immigrants. (nudge, nudge, wink, wink.)

I's day they're not finished yet - I'd say the next thing is that they will find out that he is actually not Brazilian at all, that he is actually from some godforsaken back of beyond village in Cavan or somewhere. :D:D

JFK is the coolest president ever. Marilyn Monroe is way hotter than Obamas wife. Clinton is cooler than Obama as well!

I have no racist tendencies at all but from a financial viewpoint his visit would cost a lot. Who foots the bill but the ordinary Irish taxpayers. It's much ado about nothing really.

True that. All in jest. Especially when it's all because of some guy out in the arsehole of nowhere making a big deal about being 8th cousins with someone.

You know how those Yanks love their Irish heritage. Their next door neighbour's dog could be an Irish wolfhound and that would be enough reason to claim Irish heritage.

Yeah, but he had to pretend to give a **** on US TV, which just ruins the cool buzz.

By all accounts though, if the lesson was "keep it in the pants bill", he didn't learn it.

He'll be back but not until after his current term I reckon. The first visit was very well timed so that he could gain some voter confidence and more so, investors for the campaign that lied ahead.

They were colonised by different countries and despite having similar cultures, the two nations are fierce rivals and had many bloody wars in the 1800s over territory. Never say that to their face...!!

I'm sure you weren't being too serious but just in case....:p

Obama is from 'Chicago'. He is far more interested in the Blackhawks this season. Can you blame with the way the Bulls are playing at the moment ?

NHL playoffs start April 9th !!

I hope the fuk not, it was easier to cross the Berlin wall than cross Dublin that day.
