    5 in the syndicate.

Tough decision but pragmatic at the end of the day. 200k cash right now is hard to turn down to follow whats essentially a dream; no guarantee he'll be a Champion Hurdle winner. And even then; he'd have to win it 3 times plus to hit the €1m mark they've been offered right now.

Just highlights to me how insane Barry Connell is; how many horses has he shelled out eye watering amounts for that have struggled to win a race at all nevermind a race at Cheltenham?

Does he not like money or what?

He gives horses to The Shark and Tony Mullins.....enough said!

Had to laugh at a post on BF Forum last night regarding Bryan Cooper being jocked off now that Danny Mullins is retained jockey for Connell:

"They're replacing Bryan Cooper with Tommy Cooper!" :D

I think Barry should come out of retirement to ride him :pac:

I'd say it was the easiest decision they ever made. The horse cost them €4500.

Barry Connell getting some doing by keyboard warriors on the Racing Posts facebook page saying he should leave the horse where he was and should concentrate on breeding his own stock or go to the sales.
How do some people think racing and smaller set ups survive!? :o

I wish the new owner and Our Conor the best of luck, cracking horse :)

Barry Connell is the Godolphin of National Hunt Racing in my eyes he just never seems to get the right horses and they never go on to get the expected results from the previous potential shown. Hope Our Conor stays on his upward curve though he looks a serious animal with a bit of cut and could go far, but with the yellow and black silks ill just hold my breath!

Is he not staying with Dessie Hughes? Or did they mean he should have left the horse with the original owners?

As far as I can gather they meant a bit of both, leave the horse with previous owners and also leave it with Hughes so as Cooper could ride the horse in the future.
As I said "Keyboard warriors" that do not realise money makes the world go round.

Danny Mullins is retained by Connell so even if it stays with Hughes, Cooper won't be riding it!
