I will say at the start,I am not a europian fedralist. But some of the things he says, strike a cord with me. Dont comment unless you view it all. Yes, its our Nigel.

Listen to him, think about what has just happened in Cyprus, and think it couldnt happen elsewhere in Europe whenever they choose.

    It'll all end in tears.

Nigel Ferengi could provide you with a comprehensive list of what he's against and would be dumb-struck if you asked him what he's actually for.

Wasn't there a song once called "we're only makign plans for Nigel"?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

It seems he doesn't support Scottish independence... Doesn't that totally take away from what he talks about in the video?

He suggests it's bad for the UK to remain in the EU as it means the British lose power and they don't identify themselves as Europeans. Surely the exact same case could be made for Scotland? Catalonia? North/South Italy? Where do we draw the line?

Nationalism led us to war in the past - I think that sort of tribe mentality will do us no good. I for one support the European Union and I think as generations go by a strong European identity will start to form.

I agree. Europe has a bloody history. The EU may have its faults but it is a damn sight better then the alturnative.

What has the EU done that is so bad...

A common market with more competition
Freedom to travel, study, work and reside without restriction
    A common currency
    No customs tariffs
    Shared foreign policy
    Common defence and security policy
Equal rights for all EU citizens
Diplomatic protection from other member states if your member state has no embassy in the land where you have difficulty

Most importantly - a lack of European war.

The Cyprus savings tax would have been a disaster, admittedly they shot themselves in the foot there...but in general the EU is benign and beneficial.

If you listen to Nigel Farage's speeches in the EU parliament it becomes clear that he values these things and has even lauded the European project for it.

From what I have seen UKIP aren't against the idea of Europe working more closely together.

What I get is that they object to the form that it the EU is taking, the effects within the UK in terms of massive numbers of new laws, a democratic deficit within the EU (many unelected bureaucrats) and consistent allegations of financial impropriety and waste. Basically, they think it is terminally broken.

Here's an article the guardian did. In it they trawled through the UKIP site and gathered all their policies into one place

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/mar/07/ukip-policies-manifesto-commitments

my favourite policies are the environmental ones.
    • Support coal-fired power and oppose wind farms.

    • Stop funding UN's climate change panel.

    • Ban schools from showing Al Gore's film, An Inconvenient Truth.

    • Incentivise the production of electric cars.

    • Build 200mph rail lines from London to Newcastle and Exeter.

Let's face it, he's just a very right wing US republican who's masquerading as a concerned moderate.

Did you not bother to watch the video? He argues that very point!

He points out that what is happening is fueling dangerous nationalism within Europe.
It seems he doesn't support Scottish independence... Doesn't that totally take away from what he talks about in the video?

I don't see how that is of relevance. He speaks about the European democratic deficit but there is no compatible democratic deficit within the UK.

In relation to Scotland it is a separate country from England. It has its own entirely separate legal system, local government, parliament and so on. Scottish MPs get a vote on things that happen in the UK and in a few years Scottish people will get a referendum on leaving the UK to boot.

From what I have read, I believe UKIP support a more federal UK, so a separate parliament for England like the other countries have. In essence, Home Rule for everyone (the brits call this "the West Lothian Question").

Sorry buddy but that's nonsense. Spend some time speaking to ordinary English/Welsh/Scots people about the issue and you'll understand exactly why so many of them are interested in UKIP. It has nothing to do with hand wavy nonsense about being a "powerhouse".

The majority of the UK population live in the south. The scots have very little representation in the UK parliament. They would also get a lot of the north sea oil and would be better off financially if they ceded from the UK.

It's about money and oil. Once again, he's a right wing US republican masquerading as a moderate.

Because they don't want their country flooded with Romanians and Bulgarians like it was with Polish and has been by Asians for years.
Perhaps they don't want a repeat of what happened to Aaron Dugmore for their kids.

I never said or implied that.
Immigration is important for a growing number of people as they feel like foreigners in their own countries, the new arrivals values don't match up with the host country or because it is an economic detriment to the country.
Also, it was not one person but a group of non british that bullied him.

They were Asian. Multiple news sources.
So in the name of multiculturalism you are willing to sacrifice some native European children.
    Good to know.
I'm sure that 9 year old was sorry he was a white male then...............

And to answer the pressing question of 'so becasue a couple of people in a race is dick everyone in that race is a dick?'
    No

    No

Asian can be British too mate or are you only refereeing to the good old white chaps that play cricket and drink earl gray?

While you seem to understand that one bad apple doesn't mean the whole box is bad why do you what "foreigners" out in order to prevent bullying. I'm sure some good old Brits are bullies too.

I go over to the UK at least once or twice a year and there are a hell of a lot of white people that just despise differently coloured people coming into their country. But us Irish are now ok, at least we're white.
