    Hi Guys,
I have a rooted nexus 7 with a bad yellow dot on the screen problem and i'm looking at sending it back. Today i went to unroot and lock the device but it is not showing up when i connect it to windows. Tried other PC and another cable. Looking online some people seem to have this problem after using an in car charger (which i did). Question i have is will Asus take it back rooted or am i wasting my time sending it back? If they find it rooted will they just send it back?
    Thanks

It might be a driver issue .. I know when I tried to reroot my N7 after updating to 4.2.2 my laptop stopped recognising it. After much head scratching (known as googling these days) I found a different toolkit.

I think there might be a youtube video round that basically said uninstall all drivers and then get updated ones all through this toolkit. Hope it helps

Thanks when you had the problem if you plugged ur device in did it show up in device manager at all? Mine is like I haven't got it connectedat all so there is nothing to add the drivers to? You have to select your nexus in device manager to add the drivers to it no?

I think my problem was I had too many drivers - so I uninstalled them all as per the video and then downloaded them with the toolkit. Worked for me
