Where to buy a sofa in Ireland?

Hi all! I'm just about to make the plunge into the property market and I'm looking for some advice on the best place to buy a suite of furniture for the living room.
We were looking at a corner group from cost plus sofas but I came across a few threads on boards that things can go a bit awry with them i.e. delivery problems, warranty problems, poor quality sofas etc.

So my question is where would the best place to look for sofa suites be? We have a budget of around €1000 - 1500.

    Cheers!

I see you are based in Westmeath, I don't know of anywhere in that part of the country.

After buying a few bits and pieces from the volume sellers over the years, DFS, Diamond etc we eventually bought a suite of Michael Murphy's in Newbridge.

Since then we have bought most of our furniture, carpets, curtains etc from them. Very decent to deal with in terms of deliveries and added extra touches, (e.g. the delivery guys put felt pads on the sofas because they were on a wooden floor).

    (no affiliation etc)

    I wouldnt use Harvey Norman

Found them terrible to deal with.

DFS are way overrated and charge alot more than most other stores.

Ive recently dealt with The Furniture Liquidator,EZ Living and Diamond Furniture.
They are all good deal with and you will be able to haggle with the sales people too.

    Fast delievery too.

Also have a look at www.bigmickey.ie too.

    Hes very good.

Finline Furniture have a very decent showroom and selection and it's Irish. Laura Ashley are pricey but they are constantly in sale and you can organise interest free credit.

Ezy Living have a very good selection, as do Casey's in Limerick and McDermott's in Castlebar. Both will delivery nationwide. Casey's delivered to us FOC
