    Hi,

Does anyone know if red fire hose reels are suitable as a yard wash down hose and do they require certain pressure to operate correctly? Any recommedations or alturnatives?

We have them but we have inch and a half feed coming off the mains , so we have great pressure . Id say low pressure wouldnt work with them though . You could try a short length of that hose off a tap to see what its like in your own place

Give TEC a ring in Dublin. I've sourced different types of hoses from them over the years for work. If they don't have what you want, they will point you in the right direction.

we have a reel but you have to manually put the hose on it after each milking, when i win the lotto, i want to get one that rolls up itself, like a fire hose, is there such a thing?

It's best use a hose that holds its own shape as it stops it twisting and blocking water flow.
There are fire hose reels advertised on DD if you search for them. €140 with 30 meters hose which seems good value.

Can you leave the hose on the pit floor ?
Didn't think you could but have seen it there in a few parlours.

for the fire hose on donedeal, do u need them to b connected directly to the mains or could u just connect off a normal half inch heavy gauge?
