Ok I know they are not out yet but what's your opinion on each? The HTC seems to be getting some good reviews so far. The only thing is I'm sceptical as I've now had 3x HTC's and I told myself I don't want another one. I had a Desire, Sensation, and now a One X. I find after a short while the phone gets laggy and the battery is generally awful. I regret not getting the S3 - people talk about the better quality feel of the case on the HTC but that would not really bother me, what bothers me is laggyness and unacceptable battery life. From what I hear the S3 is better. What I'm wondering is which will be better between the new HTC One and the S4? Any ideas?

Would you not consider the xperia Z? I have one and i love it, I was worried i would regret the purchase once the reviews and specs of the HTC and Samsung came out, but i dont.

If the plastic feel dose not bother you then get the S4. Its the fastest phone on the market and probably the dearest too.

The Sony Xperia, feels like a block to me. If it was curved or smaller I think it would feel much better.
If you like the sound of the S3 then S4 has to be the winner.

Wait until they are both out and make a decision then?
Personally I don't like the plastic Samsung (s3) feel but they are a good phone. I'm not gone on touchwiz or whatever their skin is called, but equally have reverted to cyanogenmod roms for my HTC Desire and one s.
My vote is the One, I have one on order, mainly for the reasons above (plastics) and I am a sucker for engineered metals in designs.
From what I have read power and screen are more or less equal, it's just the eternal non issue with removable battery and storage. I'm converted to cloud storage for bulky non essential day to day stuff and I'm generally near a charger.

    Colly check out these phones

Oppos finder 5,Jiayu G4 and the huawei one on the list.

I'm holding out for the Jiayu G4 because the specs are insane for a sub 200euro phone

    Just an alternative :)

hey there well i never had a htc phone but my partner has the desire one i pretty sure and the battery life pretty good on his and he had it say a year and bit now it was second hand as well. I got the samsung galaxy s3 at xmas as a birthday present really love it best phone ever had, never had such a fancy phone in life and still getting use all cool things on it ha . I noticed the battery is great but i only text alot not into internet as have laptop nd my own modem at home and i rather keep battery for texting as do alot it . but from texting alot battery last about 3 days which is brill for me as last phone had crap battery all texting nd in one day it be nearly gone so big difference.

As for the htc the new one i think looks amazing and its metal as well aint it ? i am a phone freak love all the new ones coming out and reading all new features about it , the s4 looks amazing to want that to haha. its hard to pick between then i think lol

Thanks guys, on another note, which will have the better camera does anyone know?
Again I find the HTC One X camera leggy and very grainy a lot of the time.
As much as it absolutely pains me to say it, the iPhone camera kicks it ass... I the reviews the HTC beat it, but reality is a very different place.

HtC One's camera is better in low light and the S4's in day time.

To be honest, if I was to drop and break my G3 this second (and sometimes I wish I would), I would probably get the iOcean X7. If I were to change my mind about getting a Chinese phone, I would get the Nexus 4. And if I couldn't figure out how to order it with the Parcel Motel trick, I would get the Xperia Z. The One and G4 would only be in the back of my mind as alternatives.

Edit: I should probably explain my logic.

IMO the iOcean X7 is the nicest looking phone out of the newest, most powerful Chinese phones, although not by much. It is also comparable in specs to the high end smartphones we all know and love. I just cannot justify spending 400% more for a One/G4/Xperia Z for such little differences.

As someone who has owned both HTC and Samsung phones, I've come to realise that what matters to me most is software not hardware. These little tiny increments on camera quality etc. are not as important to me as the buttery feel of a stock Nexus device. Added to that the price of the Nexus 4 I would choose it over a One/G4/Xperia Z, or at least wait until the next Nexus device.

Finally, I prefer the look and feel of the Xperia Z over the other 2. The spec differences are minor so that would solely lead me to chose it over the two (although I would be putting CM 10.1 on it as soon as I got it! :p)

If I was to choose between the One and G4 I would choose the One, mainly because I am a frustrated G3 owner running a laggy CM10.1 rom thanks to Samsung not dropping sources.
